Strategic Logistics Ltd (SLL)
Incorporated in Uganda by two British directors, but with a predominantly Ugandan workforce, SLL offers camp building and management services, vehicle and plant hire, civil works services and temporary bridging.
SLL has also engaged restoring oil exploration sites to their original status. This involves removing the murram surface for re-use elsewhere or returning it to the pits where it was originally excavated, and taking any waste fluids or residual solid waste to a central storage point. Currently there is a central waste point in Buliisa where waste fluids are kept in large containers. As yet, there is no legislation for the treatment of waste so it is likely to have to stay in temporary storage.
The company has restored the sites of various Tullow oil wells, including, Nzizi 1 and 2, Mputa 1, 2, 3, and 4.
SLL is currently awaiting a license from the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to transport drilling wastes.
